How are your energy levels?
Sunday, May 10, 2009 19:16 No CommentsHow aware are you of your energy levels? If you can learn about the regular times in the day when you are feeling most energized and when you are feeling tired you can adjust your routine to suit. For example, if you are feeling most alert and energised at 2pm that would be a great time to hold a challenging meeting or tackle a complex problem. If you are most tired at 11am you could schedule a task that is easy to do, which is not too tiring.
Do you have children?

I wanted to tell you about a great new service that has recently been added to the My Life Coach Portfolio. I am now offering Parent Coaching through Jeni Hooper who is a good friend of mine and an expert in the field.
Â
I can tell you first hand that Jeni knows her stuff and can help you transform your children and relationships with them. The good news for you is that you can take advantage of a free session.Â
Â
The coaching is delivered over the telephone at a date and time that is convenient for you.

The Power of Mind Mapping
Monday, April 13, 2009 21:00 No CommentsHave you ever found yourself stuck and not knowing what to focus on next? I found myself in this situation with my business recently. It happens every so often and usually means that I need to do some strategic planning. The problem is knowing where to start. You have so many things to think about and options that you could be progressing how do you make sense of it all? It can be quite overwhelming!
Â
Well, I usually turn to three places when I am in this situation. The first is my coach who helps me think through my options. Yes, I have a coach. In fact I have two. One for professional purposes and the other for personal/life coaching. The second place I go is into my Life Aligner Pro PC application. I use this to store all of my roles, goals, actions etc. and it keeps me organized. You can get your copy of Life Aligner Pro (free download) by visiting:

Â
The third place I go is into my Mind Mapping software. I swear by it. Mind Mapping is one of the best concepts that I have found for structuring my thinking. I am a highly visual person so it works great for me. I used my Mind Mapping software to work through my business strategy for the year and get my thinking and priorities straight.
Â
You can get yourself some FREE Mind Mapping software called FreeMind by following the link below:

If you haven’t tried Mind Mapping or you are used to paper based approaches then I recommend that you give this a try. It’s free after all. Let me know what you think…
I found it refreshing
Thursday, March 19, 2009 22:01 No CommentsOne of the first Personal Development books that I read was ‘The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People’ by Stephen Covey. I can remember working in a team of consultants and our manager was that impressed by the book that he purchased a copy for each of us. Many of my colleagues couldn’t be bothered with it, but a couple of us took the time to read it and we have been benefiting from applying the habits ever since! They are based on common sense and will transform your life if you take the time to internalize them.
Merry Christmas from Darren
