I visited a roman villa with my family recently whilst we were on vacation. It consisted of the grounds of a very old house that had been preserved for hundreds of years. History usually bores the pants off me, but I actually quite enjoyed it. It’s funny how you can enjoy all sorts of stuff that you don’t usually enjoy when you put your mind to it and just focus on one thing. I remember sitting down on the grass outside, the sun was shining and I was contemplating what a short amount of time we are on the planet for on the grand scheme of things.

I had to write to you to tell you that I have finally succumbed to using Twitter. I have been putting this off for some time, but I had a number of requests from my newsletter readers to get twittering so I finally took the plunge!

 

How aware are you of your energy levels? If you can learn about the regular times in the day when you are feeling most energized and when you are feeling tired you can adjust your routine to suit. For example, if you are feeling most alert and energised at 2pm that would be a great time to hold a challenging meeting or tackle a complex problem. If you are most tired at 11am you could schedule a task that is easy to do, which is not too tiring.

The third place I go is into my Mind Mapping software. I swear by it. Mind Mapping is one of the best concepts that I have found for structuring my thinking. I am a highly visual person so it works great for me. I used my Mind Mapping software to work through my business strategy for the year and get my thinking and priorities straight.
