Does my snowman look like an owl?
Sunday, December 20, 2009 22:14I spent this weekend in Derbyshire with some of my closest friends. I was shocked at the amount of snow my daughter and I experienced there. We enjoyed getting out in it and we even built a snowman! My friend said it looked like an owl- what do you think? I don’t usually attach pictures of myself and the stuff I do in these newsletters (other than the cheesy head shot), but I couldn’t resist this time J
On the way back in the car we were treated to yet even more heavy snow against a backdrop of white rolling hills and I started to reflect on the last twelve months. I’ve had some serious challenges and made some difficult decisions, but it has been an incredible journey of personal change and growth.
One of the things that I like most about the Christmas break is that it gives me a great opportunity to think about what I want out of the next year. I think about my relationships, career, business, kids, spirituality, health and all of the things that I find important. I also think about my values, behaviours and the way that I think. The output of this is then a one page plan of things that I am going to achieve and change, which then drives my agenda for the next twelve months.

I post all sort of useful nuggets of information on Twitter, which is balanced with some useless stuff that I am compelled to put up there for some reason J I will also keep useful tips and techniques coming via the newsletter. I am very excited about a new service that will be launched in April 2010 that can help you build a great part time business (to run alongside your day job) without taking a huge risk or financial investment so stay tuned…
Finally and most importantly, I wish you and your family all the best with whatever you choose to do with your Christmas and New Year.
Darren
