We will now look into what type of business you would like to start. Here are some questions to get you thinking:
- What are my transferrable skills that I have, which could be applied to a business? Here is a web site that you can take a look at to give you some ideas:

- What am I passionate about? It helps greatly if you create a business in an area that you are passionate about. This leads to greater fulfilment, a more enjoyable experience and helps with motivation. The motivation is critical especially if you need to find the energy if you are doing this in conjunction with another job.
- What services could I provide using my skills that people would pay for? Note that these skills could be existing skills or skills that can be developed through training or other routes.
- What products could I create that people would pay for?
Here are three actions, which I would like you to have completed within the next seven days.
Action 1 - Answer the four questions I have asked you above. Spend at least 30 minutes thinking about each question. Write the answers down and ask yourself to reflect on them over the next couple of days.
Action 2 - Two days later I would like you to start discussing the answers to these questions with people that you know and trust. Let them know what you are thinking and ask them for their feedback.
Action 3 - Once you have some feedback on the answers to the questions I would like you to make a list of all the options you can come up with for starting a part time business.
